Putting equipment into operation

For medium to high capacity equipment and large format industrial printing systems and devices, the manufacturer's warranty is subject to commissioning by an authorized  Xerox Service Partner .

Entry-level models from this segment of the Xerox product line can be installed by the customer independently without loss of the company warranty, in accordance with the instructions supplied with the equipment. However, for your convenience, we still recommend that you have your equipment installed by an authorized  Xerox Service Partner . Moreover, installation work is carried out by them for free.

Manufacturer's warranty terms

When equipment is properly commissioned and then operated in accordance with the User's Manual, it is highly unlikely that it will require warranty repair. We recommend that you carefully study the User's Manual and also read the terms of the manufacturer's warranty in order to exclude factors that may lead to a malfunction, the elimination of which is not covered by the terms of the warranty.

Manufacturer's warranty terms

Home and office equipment is the largest segment of the Xerox product line. The Xerox Warranty Policy for these products, as opposed to higher performance products, assumes that:

  • Commissioning is carried out by the customer independently and does not require the involvement of a Xerox Partner specialist.

  • Warranty service is performed by both authorized Service Partners and authorized Service Centers.

Even the most modern products are inevitably replaced over time by even more technologically advanced and functional models that are even more economical and easy to use and support technologies and business processes that were not even in forecasts until recently.

This section lists equipment models that are officially supported or scheduled to be completed within the next year. After the End of Service date, Xerox does not guarantee the availability of replacement parts, consumables, or supplies for the applicable model. In-person training for service engineers, technical support, and release of firmware and driver updates are also being discontinued.
