Commissioning of medium and high productivity equipment, large format and industrial printing systems
Commissioning (installation) of the equipment can only be carried out by an organization authorized by Xerox to service the equipment (hereinafter referred to as the Service Partner ).
The service for the standard installation of new (not used) equipment in the city of operation of the Service Partner is provided to customers free of charge, regardless of the place of purchase of the equipment on the territory of the state, provided that no more than 18 months have passed from the date of purchase and that the device has been imported into the territory of the state organization authorized by Xerox. If the installation is outside of the Service Partner's city, the cost of sending a service technician may be required.
Installation of equipment may be carried out by the Service Partner only if the installation site is suitable for subsequent operation of the equipment in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturer.
The standard procedure for installing the equipment and its options includes unpacking, mounting, commissioning and checking the basic operating modes (printing, copying, scanning and other basic functions available), starting and demonstrating network printing (for a network configuration of the machine), and an operator familiarization briefing on the use of the main modes of the device.
Installation of software products and other equipment that are not options is not included in the standard installation procedure.
Demonstration of the main operating modes of the equipment and its options related to the need to configure the device in the customer's network environment is performed by a Service Partner specialist only in an Ethernet network and subject to the customer providing the parameters necessary for such configuration. If the specified parameters are not provided by the customer, the service engineer is obliged to demonstrate the main modes of operation by connecting his laptop directly to the equipment via a network card. Network scanning is demonstrated using the Scan to Mailbox or similar function as an example.
Access by a Service Partner specialist to make settings in the customer's network is possible only upon a written application from the customer, which must indicate that all responsibility for providing access and the consequences of such provision lies entirely with the customer. The Service Partner has the right to refuse access to the customer's network without giving reasons.
The date of installation of the equipment is indicated in the standard warranty card for equipment of medium and high productivity, which is issued and handed over to the customer upon completion of the installation. The front side of the coupon contains information about the customer, the equipment and the service organization that performed the installation. The reverse side lists the Xerox Warranty Statements and the Copy/Print Quantity Warranty, if available for this model.
The coupon consists of two identical parts. After the installation is completed, the right part remains with the customer, and the left service organization transfers to Xerox for registration of the warranty and mutual settlements for the installation, therefore, all fields must be filled in the ticket, and it must also be signed by an authorized representative of the customer and the service organization and certified with seals both sides
