
Support for software developed by Xerox Corporation
Until its expiration date, Xerox software support is subject to the following terms:
Xerox makes all reasonable efforts to ensure that the operation of the Software is substantially in accordance with the user documentation. Xerox takes all reasonable steps to make available (directly or through Xerox (CIS) LLC or through its authorized Partners) currently available "patches" (programs that allow you to work around the error, but do not solve the problem) and patches ( programs that fix bugs found in another program) for the Software, provided that the request is received as part of a Xerox-specified process. Questions about the operation of the software can be asked at the specified phone number and/or web address in the coupon, which will be available during normal business hours of Xerox (CIS) LLC.
Xerox, through Xerox (CIS) LLC, provides support for the latest version of the software. The immediately preceding version is supported for six months from its release date. Xerox shall have no obligation to: a) support a version of the Software immediately prior to such latest version six months after the end date of release by Xerox and/or Xerox (CIS) of such prior version; b) support for other software versions; c) to correct errors in the code or otherwise support software that has undergone unauthorized modification. End User agrees to return Xerox through Xerox (CIS) LLC or destroy any previous versions of the Software that End User is no longer using.
Xerox has the right to release new versions of the Software that initially contain bug fixes and which are identified as "Maintenance Release". The "Maintenance Version" must be installed by the user within six months of its release date.
The provision of upgraded versions of the software may incur charges for media and installation. With the exception of "Service Versions", access to new versions of the Software may be provided subject to payment of additional license fees in accordance with the current price list of Xerox (CIS) LLC. If, in order to fully or partially implement any such new versions, the user must purchase additional hardware and/or software at its own expense, Xerox shall have no obligation to support the software in the event that the user does not purchase such hardware and/or software.
To comply with the requirements of Xerox and third party licensors, access to new versions of the Software may require the user to accept new or additional license terms prior to installation of such versions. The user agrees that new or additional terms will be accepted on his behalf by acceptance of the wrap (shrinkwrap) or interactive (clickwrap) license by any of his employees who perform the installation. Unless the provision of new versions of the Software is subject to the user's acceptance of new or additional license terms, each new version of the Software provided under these terms will be governed by the terms of the license of the immediately preceding version.
