Issues at scale

Our organization has 500-600 of these units. In approximately one year we have experienced a number of issues. Prior to the October firmware release we would experience a large number of "Kernel Error" messages that would leave the printer non responsive. This could happen at any time with no known cause. The October firmware largely resolved this - but not entirely. Pre installing drivers on Windows has given very mixed results, particularly with images. Most of the time it works - sometimes it will not. Sometimes Windows Update will correct the install. A spring in the tray is very fragile and is prone to coming loose. Transporting the printer in any manner can easily cause this to happen. The sensor that measures if the output bin is full can get stuck in the upward position fairly easily. The door closed sensor stopped working on a handful of units. The screens have a strange visual issue in the material. Not a huge problem but it's on every single unit. If the starter toners are moved between units they can trigger "incompatible cartridge" errors. Not an issue most will run into but it's strange because it is not consistent and can "spread" to other fuser units. The October firmware helped with this but for some reason it just happens less rather than being eliminated. As for the good - they are lightweight and reasonably fast for the cost. The toners do not leak and seem competitively priced for the page count. The web portal is convenient and I appreciate the fact the IP is automatically displayed. I'd prefer the IP to display regardless if the toner was installed to facilitate firmware updates.

Great little printer

We are large manufacture and we use this printer our daily work orders, had it about 3 months now. It works flawlessly!!! Not one issue since I plugged it in. For me the only thing is the tray capacity, holds just under 200 sheets, but that really not a big deal! it prints great, fast, perfect for what we need it for! buying another for our shipping department. A+ product for sure.

Great little Workhorse of a Printer

I love this printer, it replaced an old Lexmark that had identical features and functions which served me well for the last 12 years. I expect a similar future for this device, and generally I print out about 6000 pages a year. Great quality and speed plus excellent support from Tech folks setting it up for communications with my Laptop, smartphone, and Desktop via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi networking. Love tge front load capability for loading legal paper without going into the main paper tray.

fast and quiet

I purchased this to replace a brroken Xerox Color Cube 8570. Impressed how fast and quiet with good print quality but not as good as the CQ 8570DN. Easy setup for WiFi but very difficult with USB printer cable, never could download the correct driver for windows 7.

Poor design. Paper tray jams.

I bought this printer a month ago and have had nothing but problems. The paper tray is jammed and won't come out. The Xerox support site is useless. I can't be the only one having this issue. Will be returning printer if I can't find a resolution soon.
