Xerox Earns Perfect Score on Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for 20th Consecutive Year
For the twentieth consecutive year, Xerox received a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index (CEI). This year, Xerox is also being celebrated as one of only seven companies to receive this 20-year perfect score distinction, alongside Apple, Nike, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., and other industry leaders.
Since its inception in 2002, the CEI has served as the premiere measurement tool for gauging corporations’ LGBTQ+ inclusive workplace policies and practices. Xerox has exhibited decades of progressive thinking and an unwavering commitment to providing LGBTQ+ employees with fair and equitable treatment, while simultaneously sharing the details of our efforts in a way that welcomes and embraces accountability.
This recognition demonstrates Xerox’s excellence across the HRC’s four key pillars for CEI ratings, including:
Nondiscrimination policies across business entities;
Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families;
Supporting an inclusive culture; and
Corporate social responsibility.
Such accolades are earned only by organizations “taking concrete and dedicated steps to establish and implement comprehensive policies, benefits, and practices that ensure greater equity for LGBTQ+ workers and their families,” according to HRC.
“This outstanding recognition did not happen by chance. Diversity, inclusion and belonging is an essential part of the Xerox culture. We have a team — a team that I am so grateful to be a part of — that works tirelessly day in and day out to create a workplace that allows all of our employees to thrive, and to bring their true, whole selves to their work,” said Dr. Yetta Toliver, Global Head of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging at Xerox. “But our work toward inclusion doesn’t stop here. Xerox’s continued effort to create a diverse and equitable environment will only help our employees and business reach its full potential. I look forward to a future of continued success and forward progress.”
