Setting a Higher Fuser Temperature
Using a higher temperature for the fuser can improve the adhesion of dry ink/toner to stock. Depending on the paper type and weight, it can be necessary to increase or decrease the fuser belt temperature. You can use the plus or minus icons to adjust the fuser temperature from -20 degrees to +30 degrees.
To improve lead-edge uniformity or toner coverage on lightweight papers, use the Belt Side adjustment feature.
To improve gloss streaks from the pressure roll stripper fingers, use the Pressure Roll Side feature and increase or decrease the value in 5 degree increments to find the optimal temperature.
Important:
Running the fuser at the higher temperature can decrease the life of the fuser assembly.
