Special Print Jobs
Review the following points:
Printing Duplex 2-Sided Prints
Note:Duplex, or 2-sided, performance does not necessarily match the performance for 1-sided printing or copying. More paper jams can occur when you print 2-sided than when you use the same throughput material 1-sided.
For automatic 2-sided printing, use the recommended media up to SRA3 320 x 450 mm (13 x 19 in.), maximum 320 x 482 mm from 52–400 g/m2.
For manual 2-sided printing, use the recommended media up to SRA3 320 x 450 mm (13 x 19 in.), maximum 320 x 482 mm from the Multi-Sheet Inserter.
To reduce jams when using 2-sided printing on a media heavier than 220 g/m2 (80 lb. Cover), ensure that the grain of the media is perpendicular to the print process direction, or short grain.
Printing Transparencies
For optimum system performance and image projection, use Xerox removable stripe transparency materials. These premium transparencies offer optimum print quality. Use of other transparencies can damage the Production Press and result in excessive service calls.
Due to the increased thickness of the removable stripe, do not load more than 100 transparencies in a tray. Do not exceed the maximum output stack height of 100 transparencies.
Printing Extra Long Sheets longer than 488 mm (19.2 in.)
Configurations
Feed extra long sheets using only the Multi-Sheet Inserter.
When you use sheets longer than 488 mm (19.2 in.), direct the output to only the trays or finishing devices listed. Otherwise, the stacking capacity and quality can diminish.

Sheets greater than 488 mm (19.2 in.) cannot be stapled, punched, folded, or use any other finishing option, including any 3rd party DFA finishers.
Printing Postcards
The Postcard bracket that comes with the Advanced Oversized High Capacity Feeder allows you to print on smaller media without requiring post-processing cutting or sorting. The Postcard bracket specifically accommodates 101.6 x 152.4 mm (4 x 6 in.) SEF media.

Media Handling
Print sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.) 1-sided (simplex) only. Auto-duplex is not possible.
For uncoated media and for coated media, the media range is 52–400 g/m2.
Caveats
Full Width Array features are not available for sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.).
The risk of jams increases when running sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.).
When printing long sheets, jams can span multiple modules of the Production Press and can be more difficult to clear.
Multi-feeds can occur when printing on coated media. To prevent multi-feeds, feed sheets individually.
When printing sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.), you can use Auto Registration for 1-sided printing only. Auto Registration is not available for 2-sided printing on sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.).
Registration performance is not guaranteed on sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.). Any registration specifications cited in the documentation for the Xerox® Iridesse® Production Press do not apply to sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.).
The risk of print quality defects increases when printing sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.).
The risk of creasing and wrinkles increases when printing sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.).
More image quality adjustments during run-time are likely when printing sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.).
The Transfer and Density Uniformity features are not available for sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.).
When you run the same media at less than 729 mm (28.7 in.), reevaluate any Production Press problems identified when you ran sheets longer than 729 mm (28.7 in.). Before calling for service, validate that the problem persists on sheets shorter than 729 mm (28.7 in.).
When you cut larger paper to Extra Long Sheet (XLS) format, when possible, cut the paper in the long-grain direction.
