Single print driver works with all printers
Our Xerox® Global Print Driver® is a single universally compatible driver that works with most printers. It provides one driver to qualify, manage and deploy for the device fleet. Forward compatibility eliminates the need to install a new driver package to support future Xerox products. This gives IT and support staff tremendous productivity and time savings when adding new devices to the network.
Bi-directional Status
Xerox print drivers integrate powerful bi-directional tools that offer real-time status and automatically detect and install new device options such as paper trays and finishers. The VersaLink® C8000 Color Printer includes print drivers, which feature clear, graphical user interfaces that provide for easy, intuitive interaction with the printer.
These drivers provide immediate desktop access to all VersaLink® output functions and also provide bi-directional information, indicating device and job status, currently loaded paper sizes and types, and installed options—so there is no need to consult other software to obtain such information.
Application Defaults
Users can save print feature defaults and automatically apply those settings each time they print from that application to help reduce waste and reduce user frustration. For example, print all presentations in color and emails in black-and-white.

This unique, full-featured plug-in for KitKat (4.4 or greater) devices streamlines mobile printing without third-party apps or additional print drivers. After downloading this free plug-in from the Google Play™ Store, you can easily print photos, Web pages and documents when your mobile device is connected to VersaLink printers and multifunction printers using a wireless network. Intrusion Prevention
ConnectKey Technology utilizes a comprehensive set of capabilities that prevent malicious attacks, proliferation of malware and misuse of/unauthorized access to the printer, whether from transmitted data or direct interaction at the device. All possible access points are secure, including the user interface, and input ports accessible to walk-up users as well as PC, server, mobile devices or cloud connections.
Device Detection
Xerox® ConnectKey® Technology runs a comprehensive Firmware Verification test, either at start-up or when activated by authorized users. This provides alerts if any harmful changes to the printer have been detected.
Document and Data Protection
Our comprehensive security measures don’t stop with preventing unauthorized access to your printer and securing your information from the inside. ConnectKey Technology provides capabilities to prevent intentional or unintentional transmission of critical data to unauthorized parties. It protects printed materials by not releasing documents until the right user is at the device and offers the safeguards you need to keep your most critical data assets safe and secure.
Xerox also protects all your stored information, using the highest levels of encryption. You can delete any processed or stored data that is no longer required using National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and U.S. Department of Defense approved data clearing and sanitization algorithms.*
