Caring for Communities

Caring for Communities

From its beginning, Xerox has supported the communities in which we work and live. The way we see it, we have a responsibility that goes beyond our primary, economic role and that is to help our communities—and the people living in them—to grow and thrive.

In 2016, Xerox rolled out a refreshed corporate philanthropy policy that provided guidelines for giving and an assessment tool that would allow for greater tracking of community facing activity. The policy governs worldwide philanthropy programs and projects. At Xerox, we encourage community involvement at every level and at every location.

During 2016, more than 90 percent of our philanthropic investments were directed to institutions and organizations where someone from Xerox was personally involved.

The Xerox Community Involvement Program

The Xerox Community Involvement Program links our corporate giving with the voluntary spirit of our employees as they become involved in the communities where they live and work. Since the program began in 1974, thousands of Xerox people have been involved in regional, community-focused projects each year.
